Caregiver Spotlight: Shelly Courteau

Meet caregiver Shelly Courteau, whose experience, compassion, and passion for helping others bring independence, connection, and joy to every client she serves.
Shelly Courteau brings compassion and joy to caregiving

Shelly brings years of caregiving experience and a true passion for continuous learning to everything she does. Fluent in ASL, she connects with clients in meaningful ways and values clear, compassionate communication.

Outside of work, Shelly enjoys all things old-fashioned—handmade items, from-scratch creations, and the simple joys that bring warmth and comfort to everyday life. She’s a proud mom of three (including a daughter by choice), has a wonderful husband who was a single dad when they met, and is a blessed grandma—her youngest son and grandson are just 8 months apart!

Shelly’s heart for caregiving shines through in her own words:

“Giving people independence and freedom to do what they want—or can—and enjoy is why I love caregiving. Seeing the joy in a person’s face, or a loved one’s face, because someone can enjoy something again is the best feeling—truly indescribable. Whether it’s helping clean their home, supporting self-care, going for a walk, or simply letting them know they’re not alone and that people care… showing grace and compassion for others is the best job you can have.”

We’re so grateful to have Shelly on our team.
